Why make your own pumpkin spice coffee creamer?
It’s healthier. You control the amount of sugar and all the ingredients in the creamer. If you read the labels on store bought coffee creamer, you’ll find lots of artificial ingredients.
It’s cheaper. Pumpkin drinks at that well known coffee shop are expensive. You’ll save time and money making your own at home.
It tastes better. Homemade pumpkin spice coffee creamer taste so much better in my opinion. It has a depth of flavor that’s missing from the premade brands.
It’s convenient. It’s made with natural ingredients, so make a batch and enjoy a pumpkin spice coffee right at home every morning.

Helpful Tips
-Shake the creamer very well before using it. It will naturally separate in the fridge.
-If you have a frother, lightly heat the creamer and froth it prior to adding it to your coffee. This is my favorite way to enjoy the homemade creamer.
-Store your leftover pureed pumpkin in a freezer bag in the freezer for up to one year. You can use it in other recipes like my pumpkin bread, or to make another batch of coffee creamer.
-For an extra indulgent drink, add homemade whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of your coffee.
-Try making a cold brew with two cups of coffee and ½ cup of pumpkin spice coffee creamer over ice. It’s delicious!
-If you prefer a sweeter coffee, add ¼ cup of brown sugar to the homemade coffee creamer recipe. Heat the mixture over medium heat until the brown sugar has dissolved.
-Make your own pumpkin puree at home! Start with a small “pie pumpkin”. Around two pounds is ideal. Cut the pumpkin in half and scrape all the seeds out. Roast it in the oven at 350 degrees for around 45 minutes or until it’s fork-tender. Remove all of the flesh from the pumpkin and puree it in a food processor until it’s smooth.
-Skip the store-bought pumpkin pie spice and make your own using nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. You can play around with the amounts to get it perfect.
-Make it creamy by substituting full-fat coconut milk for the heavy whipping cream in the recipe. You’ll love the unique flavor it adds!
The possibilities are really endless when you’re making your own coffee creamers at home!
FAQs
Can almond milk be substituted in the place of whole milk or cream?
Yes. You can substitute most any type of milk. Oat milk would also work. The consistency of the creamer will change, but it will still have a great flavor.
Can the creamer be made without the pureed pumpkin?
Yes. You can omit the pureed pumpkin all together. However, I prefer the taste of the creamer with the pumpkin.
What other types of sweetener can be used instead of maple syrup?
I prefer a monk fruit sweetener. It’s a more natural alternative with similar measurements as sugar and maple syrup. You cold also substitute honey if you prefer.
