Equipment

  • Small Funnel
  • Empty Mascara Tube
  • Kitchen Scale
  • Small Glass Bowl

Materials

  • 2 grams  aloe vera gel 1/2 teaspoon
  • 8 grams castor oil 1 1/2 teaspoons
  • 4 grams vitamin E oil 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  • Make sure you have all your ingredients ready. You'll need aloe vera gel, castor oil, and vitamin E oil.
  • In a small bowl, combine 2 grams (1/2 teaspoon) of aloe vera gel, 8 grams (1 and 1/2 teaspoons) of castor oil, and 4 grams (1 teaspoon) of vitamin E oil. Mix them well until they are fully combined.
  • Get an empty mascara tube and make sure it's clean. You can use a liquid dropper to transfer the serum into the tube. This helps keep things neat and prevents spills.
  • Carefully use the liquid dropper to fill the mascara tube with your lash serum. Make sure not to overfill it.
  • Use a clean mascara wand to apply the serum to your lashes. Dip the wand into the serum, wipe off any excess, and gently brush it onto your lashes from root to tip and on the upper lash line. Apply daily for the best results. Be careful not to get the serum directly in your eyes.
  • Keep your DIY lash serum in a cool, dry place. Use it regularly, preferably at night, to get the best results.

Helpful Tips
The oils in this serum will want to separate. Gently shake the applicator before applying the DIY eyelash growth serum. It doesn't contain the stabilizers and preservatives that store-bought serums have.
If you have sensitive eyes you may not be able to use an eyelash serum without causing some eye irritation. Use caution when using it.
Try adding essential oils like carrot seed or frankincense to the serum. These oils can help you grow longer eyelashes naturally.
If you don't have castor oil, you can substitute coconut oil. It will solidify at room temperature making it harder to apply. Castor oil is definitely the best oil to use.
Keep your homemade serum in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain its effectiveness.
Results may vary, so be consistent with your application and give it time to see improvements in your lashes.
If your serum is too thick, you can add a small amount of distilled water for a better consistency.
